Good Start!

Peebles Common Good - Panel 5 Background - Colin MacLeanThis is the first exhibition in the Borders and possibly in Scotland to shine a light on our Common Good.  We have sought to show the range of assets that are in the stewardship of Scottish Borders Council and draw attention to how they are being managed from one generation to the next.  We hope it will be a catalyst to encourage others to find out more and to celebrate the legacy that is Our Common Good. Common Good property represents a potential source of wealth and investment for the public good of your community. Properly accounted for and properly managed, Scotland’s Common Good can be used to revitalise communities.” Andy Wightman, Common Good – A Quick Guide, July 2009
